About Clos Lentiscus Syrah Colection CRV Rosé

Clos Lentiscus Syrah Colection CRV Rosé is a natural Grand Reserva sparkling rosé made by Clos Lentiscus in the D.O. Penedès.

Clos Lentiscus started out in 2001 with two brothers (Manel and Joan Aviñó) who wanted to fulfill their dream of capturing the essence of the terroir. To do this, they restarted production on the family property, Can Ramon Viticultors del Montgrò. The winery, sitting on a 14th-century estate, has 20 hectares of vineyards and 45 hectares of forest, and is located in the Garraf Natural Park. Members of the biodynamic producers association La Renaissance des Appellations, can guarantee that there is nothing but grapes in their wines.

Clos Lentiscus Colection CRV Rosé Brut Nature is made according to biodynamic practices in the vineyards, which sit in the calcareous sandy soils of the Garraf Massif. All natural treatments and infusions of different plants are applied taking into account the lunar and astronomical cycle. In addition, as the vines are south-facing, they enjoy a level of sunshine and sea breeze that plays a significant role in production. Once the fruit reaches optimum ripeness, it is collected manually.

In the winery, the grape goes through skin-contact maceration for 4 hours. Both the 1st and 2nd alcoholic fermentations are carried out with native yeasts (pie de cuba made from frozen must for the 2nd) and no additives. Clos Lentiscus Syrah Colection CRV Rosé then ages for 60 months in the bottle with its fine lees.

2012 Clos Lentiscus Syrah Colection CRV Rosé 2012 is a sparkling rosé with an intense aroma of ripe red fruits and a mineral background. On the palate it is fresh, fruity and juicy.
