Joseph Drouhin Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru is a monovarietal Pinot Noir red wine from the AOC Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru produced by Joseph Drouhin.

Joseph Drouhin is a winery in Burgundy founded in 1880. It has 78 hectares of its own vineyards located in various sub-areas of the region: in Côte de Nuits, Chablis, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise. For years the winery has been practicing organic farming because it understands that listening and respecting its vineyards and nature is essential for producing great wines.

The vineyards for Joseph Drouhin Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru lie in the north of Nuits-Saint-Georges, the famous municipality in Burgundy that is also home to Romanée-Conti or Richebourg. The soils of the plots are of calcareous marls with an excellent drainage and an ideal exposure for cultivating Pinot Noir. The vineyards have a planting density of about 10,000 plants per hectare, are pruned in Guyot style and produce around 43 hl/ha.

Joseph Drouhin Vosne-Romanée 1st Cru is made by macerating and vinifying with native yeasts for about 2-3 weeks at a controlled temperature. Once fermented, the wine is aged in barrels, 20 % of which are new, for a period of 14 to 18 months.
