About Terra de Cuques Negre

Torroja Vi de la Vila is a red wine from Priorat produced by the Terroir al Límit cellar. This is a winery located in the municipality of Torroja del Priorat (Tarragona) owned by Eben Sadie and Dominik A. Huber

Torroja Vi de la Vila is made from the Grenache and Carignan varieties. The grapes come from very old vines between 55 and 75 years old, grown in micro-terroirs.

Vineyard cultivation follows a little interventionist method attempts to express the specifics of the slate soils.

For its production, after a traditional process, Torroja Vi de la Vila undergoes 8 months of aging in concrete and stainless steel.

2021

Terra de Cuques Negre 2021 is a concentrated red wine where aromas of black and red fruits merge in perfect harmony with herbaceous nuances reminiscent of the Mediterranean region. On the palate, it offers a succulence that delights the senses, a remarkable balance, and an expressiveness that commands attention. Its pleasing texture is paired with a vibrant acidity that contributes to its freshness, and it leaves a lasting and affable aftertaste.
2013 Powerful and fleshy entry. Round and warm with fruity sensations and mineral notes. Very good acidity and ripe tannins. Long finish with fruity aftertaste.

Cherry red with violet hues, high layer. Clean and bright.

Intensely aromatic. Presence of ripe red fruit with floral notes, herbaceous and toasted flavours. Markedly mineral and balsamic background.
2012 Intense and powerful attack, with a warming, enveloping movement in the mouth leaving fruity and alcohol-rich sensations. Structured, with lots of body and intense, direct tannins. Excellent acidity that refreshes the set. Long finish and very persistent. Fruity aftertaste, with toasted notes and alcohol rich sensations at retro-olfacion.

Dark picota cherry colour with violet reflections. High robe and very covered, with abundant dense, sturdy and slow-falling tears shown on the glass.

This vintage is intensely aromatic with a fragrant, clean, direct and elegant nose. Lots of ripe red and black fruit, floral aromas, aromatic herbs, spices and toasted touches. Powerful mineral and refreshing balsamic overtones.
2011 Intense and powerful attack. Warm and enwrapping on the palate, leaving fruity and alcohol sensations. Structured, with body and intense, direct tannins. Excellent acidity refreshing the set. Long and very persistent finish. Fruity aftertaste, with toasted and alcohol notes felt at retro-olfaction.

A pretty, very ripe picota cherry colour with a violet rim. High robe and very covered, with abundant tears showing on the glass.

A clean, direct, elegant, highly intense and very fragrant nose, a lot more fruity than the previous vintage. Ripe red and black fruit, intense floral aromas, violets lavander, aromatic herbs, spices and balsamic and toasted notes. Powerful mineral background.
