About La Flor del Flor de Primavera Samsó

La Flor del Flor de Primavera Samsó is a kosher red wine from the D.O. Montsant made by the Celler de Capçanes winery. This is a single-variety Samsó wine.
 
Celler de Capçanes is a cooperative that was founded in 1933 by five families with the aim of preserving the heritage of the Priorat region. Starting as a small project, over the years it has been growing with new winemakers and becoming more and more successful, especially in their production of kosher wines. This success has led them from bottling large volumes to creating high quality wines. 
 
La Flor del Flor de Primavera Samsó comes from 4 plots of vines aged between 85 and 105 years old. These are old vines planted in clay, granite and slate soils at an altitude of 240-480 metres above sea level. The harvest is manual in 20 kg boxes. 
 
In the winery, the La Flor del Flor de Primavera Samsó grapes ferment with native yeasts at controlled temperatures and macerate for 24 days in stainless steel tanks. Aging takes place in new or one-year-old French barrels and, after the coupage has been made, the wine stays in stainless steel tanks for 3 months before being bottled.
 
La Flor del Flor de Primavera Samsó is produced under strict conditions and checked by a qualified member of the Jewish religion. A great kosher wine that reflects the Montsant terroir.
 
 
2016 The Flor del Flor de Primavera Samsó 2016 is a richly concentrated red wine, exuding aromas of ripe black fruit, toasted undertones, and hints of mocha. On the palate, it is complex, refined, and graceful. This wine boasts mature tannins, a silky texture, and a crisp, mineral finish.

La Flor del Flor de Primavera Samsó 2015 is a richly concentrated red wine, exuding bold herbaceous aromas, hints of licorice, and nuanced toasted and spicy undertones. On the palate, it is full-bodied, meaty, and brimming with fruitiness. The finish is extensive, sophisticated, and reveals strokes of chocolate and smoky nuances.
